I am finally back with the giveaway I talked about on the last post. I have been having computer problems the last few weeks and I was so frustrated. I complained enough about it that Harv finally took over and did a lot of cleaning out files, etc. and then he restored it back a couple of weeks. That did it and I am back happy with my computer. I will pull a name or maybe two out of Harv's hat on Sunday Augst 25th.
I will have 3 chances to win. One leave a comment on any upcoming posts, 2 if you are a follower or become a follower I will add another chance and 3 if you talk about the giveaway on your blog. Also for my longtime friends who always follow and leave a post I will add another chance. I know who you are.
I am posting the pics of what
I have come up with so far and will probably add more to it over the next 2 weeks. Hopefully all I can stuff into a large envelope or small carton. I have an oval piece of lace with fabric already sewn inside that can be the start of a lace journal. I have included one of Pat Winter's beautiful little girl prints that can be added to the cover. Also I have included one of Gerry Kreuger's painted buttons and a lovely lace motif in Kathy Kazerian's signature color gold. I added one of my bobbins covered in lace. I have a bunch of these and love the look of them piled in a bowl.

Now that is one pile of delicious lace and linens. How very generous of you to share it with one of your lucky followers. Thank you for the opportunity to give these treasures a new home. Creative Hearts are Happy Hearts...
Wow Freda that is one generous giveaway...and I would be glad to win it to add it to my stash any day!!! I will mention it on my blog on the next time I post... Hugs Ger
I am drooling over the pieces. How very generous of you to give these away. I don't think that I would be able to part with them.
Freda these lace pieces are beautiful and I like how you arranged the photo to show how a lace book could be started. I like the piece with the violets around the edges. Including one of Gerry's buttons too!!! This is a very nice giveaway!

Definitely have to put my name into the hat for a chance on this - so many lovely goodies! You're too generous my friend.
Oh my, what a lovely assortment of lace & goodies. I would love to put my name in the hat for this. Thanks, Debbie (Maine)
Wow! Gorgeous laces and a wonderful giveaway! How did I miss this post?
I'd love to have my name thrown into the hat. Thank you.
I follow Gerry's blog and came through from her. If you take a quick look at my blog you'll see that I too love crazy patchwork, beads, ribbo and lace and am at the moment making book covers.
I would really love the lace and could make good use of it.
I have added you to my blog list and become a follower, not just simply because of the giveaway but because it looks as though you are just my type of read.
p.s.
We have been married 50 years in Jan 2014, I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren, what a coincidence.

Hi Freda! My good friend and cq mentor, Gerry Krueger, told us about your fabulous giveaway. She is teaching us how to make her wonderful chatelaine and she says you can never have too much lace!! So I thought I'd put my name into the hat.

I'm with Sherrie. When we stitched with Gerry today, she told us about your giveaway. Wow. How generous. I told the girls that if I were to win, that I would be happy to share such generosity with them. So, very good luck to me and a big thank you to you for your offering.
Looking forward to seeing your progress.
P.S. Sherrie and I are planning to make a lace journal as our next project.
Happy Stitching.

Freda, I would like to tell you I always love your elegant work! Hideko
Hello! I'm a newbie to your blog by way of Gerry K. OMG--what a beautiful stash of lacy things. Can't believe you're giving it to a new home! When I see "Lace",
it's like waving a red flag because I'm a lacemaker (IOLI). I started making bobbin lace so I could create my own bits for CQ blocks. This summer I completed a moon & a hummingbird. It would take a lot of lessons & several more summers to make all the lace you are giving away! Thanks to Gerry, I've had the chance to see your vintage linen quilt project as well as enter your contest. Looking forward to more pics of repurposed vintage linens! lacysuzette
Beautiful lace -- I don't know how you can part with it, but I'll give it a good home! LOL

Very beautiful. I love lace.
Oh how pretty! I found my way here through Gerry at Olderrose and am so happy I did. I admit the giveaway brought me here, but your handwork made me a follower! Love your pieces and the giveaway is an amazingly generous act of kindness!
