LAST 4 SQUARES

Here are the last 4 squares that will be the sides of the quilt.  Now comes the hard part of sqaring  them and sewing together.  I think I am going to make an edging of all the fabrics I used in the puffs and hexagons to give some color.  These are large squares measuring about 22 long by about 21 wide when squared off.

So beautiful - I embiggened each one so I could admire all the details. I recognize a few of the patterns in the linens as being ones my grandmother did in her time. Nice to see!

I love your old linen blocks. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished quilt since I'm new to your blog and haven't seen the progress from the beginning.

Thanks for re-purposing such charming linens! Our grandmothers, mothers & aunts were accomplished embroiderers. Good thing "hot glue guns" weren't invented until much later or we wouldn't have this treasure trove of materials to use for CQ.
